Reverse Engineering

A lot of people may not know this, but some machine shops have the ability to reverse engineer OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts.

Reverse engineering is taking apart an object to see how it works or was made to duplicate or enhance the object. 

Instead of purchasing replacement items from the manufacturer (which in some of our customer’s world can be half way across the world), you can take the broken part to a machine shop to see if it can be duplicated and improved. There are several major advantages to this method:

• Cost less
• Reduce’s lead time
• Create spares
• Modify part to last longer

What we do is take the original part and initiate a detailed product analysis. This will include understanding the function of the product, the design aspects you desire, and an other critical elemnts required. After, our manufacturing engineers will include value added solutions to help reduce costs and increase manufacturing ability.
